Hello my loves and welcome to my first PINspiration post of the year, it feels so weird saying that as it STILL feels like 2013! As you know I love Pinterest and I love the idea of anything to do with DIY - I like to think I'm crafty but honestly, I don't think I am...... but there are so many easy DIY's floating around Pinterest that anyone could do - all with the right tools of course.
Hello my loves! With Valentines day coming soon, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to put together a little gift guide for anyone struggling on what to get their partner (or soon to be partner) for valentines day.
All the things in the wishlist above are things I think anyone lady would love, LUSH is always a great place to start, their Valentines range is alway great! Chocolate is alway great too, being the chocoholic I am - It's always a joy for me to receive chocolate and an even bigger when it looks like a bear. True Rose by Yankee candle is amazing for setting the right mood, it would be perfect to have lit on Valentines day. The lipstick is gorgeous, beautiful colour and its called Valentine too - PERFECTION! The nail polish is called Love Spell and its scented too, I'm very intrigued to know what it smells like!
For the guide for the guys I think I've gone quite safe but I think any guys would love them! It seems that everyone and their mum loves Breaking Bad and the Valentines box is perfect, it includes a Heisenbergh wanted posted, liquid Meth syringe pen (not real of course!), Meth candy rocks and much more! The mini Dean Winchester is my absolute favourite from the list! They also have Sam and Castiel too. The nexus 7 case is great for any tech lover, the circuit board is a great touch. I thought that the wishlist was lacking a bit of the valentines vibe and Red Vans make it much better, shoes are always a winner too!
What have you planned buying for your significant other?
Hello lovelies! All the way back in September I won the lovely Claire Louise's Yankee candle giveaway, I would have done this post much soon but life kinda got in the way. I had just gotten my job in York and I haven't really had much time to blog since, other than my Sunday night - I usually spend my time off in the week binge watching my favourite tv shows other than blogging, I know I am such a bad blogger!
Anyway enough about that and onto the Tarts - I had always wanted to try Yankee candle and the tarts seemed the best way to get into them. The scents I won are gorgeous, they were Pink sands, Lemon Lavender and Pineapple Cilantro.
As you can see Pink Sands is missing as I couldn't wait to burn it!
Pink Sands is described as an exotic island escape with the beautiful mix of bright citrus, sweet florals and spicy vanilla - Which is exactly how it smelt, I picked up all the scents as it burnt, to keep the tart for longer I broke it up and used a quarter at a time. Pink sands has now become one of my favourites by Yankee and I don't usually like the florals.
Lemon Lavender is described as clean and inviting.... A powdery fresh blend of tangy Lemon and sweet Lavender flowers - I am yet to burnt this tart but I've very excited to try it. The smell coming from the tart smells gorgeous. Usually Lavender gives me terrible headaches but the lemon really balances it out.
Pineapple Cilantro is described as A tropical treat... Fresh, island Pineapple served with a citrus touch of Cilantro and sweet coconut - I'm now burning some of this tart and It smells so fruity and delicious! One I'll definitely be picking up.
Hello all you lovely people! HAPPY SUNDAY - it's now almost my birthday and doing this wishlist has made me quite excited! Ben and I have been attempting to plan a trip for my birthday but we now can't go until March due to work :(
I've attempted to keep this wishlist to a minimum as I have 28 items pinned here...... I've adored the dress for so long and I let out a little scream when I saw it in the sale. Since Christmas (and maybe before) I have been obsessed with Yankee candles, my boyfriend bought me a box of fruity samples and I instantly loved Bahama breeze, the other Vanilla cupcake is just a must for a baker, right?!
The print is another thing I saw and instantly loved - Daenrys is my Khalessi!
Hello lovelies! Happy 2014, I hope you all had a lovely start to the new year. My boyfriend and I had a quiet night in but it was lovely none the less. I've been meaning to this post for a while but I never stick to any of my resolutions so I've set myself a few goals to attempt this year.
1. Dye my hair Purple again - If you've been following me for a while you'll know I had Purple hair for a long time, I adored the colour but it was hard to maintain and I'm useless at dying my hair myself. I'm determined to go back though and I've had a box of dye in our flat for months....
2. Experiment more - In life I stick to what I know and I'd love try much more - with my hair, make-up, clothes, things on the blog, EVERYTHING.
3. Eat better! - My eating habits are terrible and christmas made me realise how bad I am, again I stick to what I know and love and they're not that great. I'd love to go into a restaurant and try something new from the menu every once in a while but that may be a challenge as I'm a very picky eater.
4. Travel - In 2014 I'm really hoping Ben and I can go on our first "proper" holiday together, I would love to see more of the world, Rome is my first choice. I'd love to visit London too.
5. Meet new people - By moving to York in 2013 I've met some lovely people! I'd love to meet more and finally meet some of my blogger friends in person.
